I remember this game and loved it as a little girl. I was looking for this game to share with my kids. Walmart's prices were over 5 dollars a game. I would highly recommend this!! It even has a shiny coat on the cards so they are not just paper.
I bought this game for my grandkids as they have so much fun with OLD MAID. They just can't keep a straight face when he or she has the OLD MAID. Their "old" game wore out and they could tell which card was the OLD MAID by the creases in the card - so time for a new pack. This package is of high quality material, vivid colors and a nice size (if the smaller kids have a "holder.") My complaint is the creepy animal characters portrayed on each card.....I wish they were the original style of human cartoon characters.
My daughter loves Old Maid. Nobody wants to be stuck with the old maid do they? My daughter does! She LOVES the "Old Buzzard". The Old Maid in this box is Old Betty Buzzard. She loves going around being "The Old Buzzard." Playing Old Maid at our house everybody wins. She loses and still wins!
This was the second set of Old Maid cards I bought for my pre-school grandsons. The first set depicted an extended family, and it wasn't obvious who the Old Maid was unless you could read...there were quite a few elderly female relatives in the deck. This set of Old Maid cards came with a funny and unexpected consequence! We are trying to teach a 5-year-old how to be a graceful loser. Well. He absolutely loves Betty Buzzard, and as far as he is concerned, if he ends up with her at the end of the game, he won! It makes for a very cheerful card game for everyone concerned!
My 7 yr old grandson really enjoys this deck - especially since the pairs are all odd-ball animals. I'm not sure he'll love the animals in 3 or 4 years, but by then he probably won't want to play this game (?) -- Fast shipping too. Thanks very much.
This is a great good ol' game. It was really hard finding a classic game that has not been taken over by pop culture. I did not want a Spongebob version or anything, just a nice classic game of Old maid!The cards are regular deck size, nicely made and shiny. Fun Character names. Nice colorful picture.Highly reccommend this product!
Nice cards, great instructions. Hours of fun is being had with these cards. I would recommend them to others who have children who enjoy playing cards.
