somehow, when this stated that the cards were by Alain Gree, the illustrator, I expected to see...well...illustrations. No. They are as described, with literally the word on one side and number on the other. I wish it hadn't been branded in such a way, as I was looking for something that would have some pictures on it to keep the interest of my toddlers. Nice cardstock, that's for sure, but not very exciting. Ho hum. Now I have to look for another set, one that I think my kids will actually use.
