I bought this set because we needed some new games to play with our 4 year old twins and the selection of "Go Fish" cards in our town was very expensive. I really wanted something inexpensive (after all, they are only cards) but also visually interesting. These seemed cute and had good reviews so I bought them. My girls love them. We have played as a family a few times and they get a big kick out of it. Some of the fish featured are starfish, octopus, american flagfish, hammerhead shark, siamese fighting fish, sawfish and some others. Each has a cute picture. I would definitely recommend this product!
I purchased these to play cards with my 5 year old. I was disappointed that this was a picture deck with no numbers. My 5 year old (who has no problems playing with a traditional card deck) has trouble knowing exactly what card to ask for because he cannot read the words yet. The cards seem high quality but because of the thickness, are difficult to shuffle. Judging by the reviews, they work well for some people but I think we'll stick with a regular deck of cards.
Fun for kids as young as four and perhaps as old as 6 or 7; cards are of decent quality and stand up to use by children; colors and graphics are better than many seen in games now on the market for this age.
tried finding this card game everywhere locally, no luck, so glad came through, AGAIN, cards are very well made. We have spent a lot of time playing with our grand daughter, 5 yrs old, loves!!!
I bought this card game for my little brother he is 5 years old. He loved these cards. Its very easy to play and the cards are pretty sturdy like regular playing cards. I would recommend these playing cards to anyone who has children or knows a child that enjoys playing card games.
The web advertises Product Dimensions: 5 x 7 x 0.6 inches, and these cards are not 5 x 7, they are standard sized. Maybe the packaging is 5 x 7.
GO FISH: I play this with my 4-yr-old grandson. We even played it when he was 3. Its a great bonding activity we play at bedtime. I'vs.e played WAR with it, also an easy to teach game; and, (after picking up to 8 matching pairs of characters) we also play the MATCH GAME. The cartoonish characters are real names of aquatic animals.
All of the playing cards lacked the size of the playing cards. I had ordered these for young children. Also they are so glossy that they slip easily from little hands.
