Who Was Isaac Newton?

Isaac Newton was always a loner, preferring to spend his time contemplating the mysteries of the universe. When the plague broke out in London in 1665 he was forced to return home from college. It was during this period of so much death, that Newton gave life to some of the most important theories in modern science, including gravity and the laws of motion.

Great book covering more than the basic facts of Sir Isaac Newton's life yet in an easy to read, very interesting style.

This is an excellent series of biographies for children. Full of interesting facts, easy and enjoyable to read, and great for whetting the appetite to read further. It is just a pity that there isn't a UK equivalent series, I can think of lots more people that it would be nice to read about. The whole format is very attractive and the books bring the people to life. My grandchildren, ranging fro 8 to 11 all love them, and so do I !!!.

The book not only teaches but also traps the reader. It gives kids a big picture of Newton's discoveries and of his time. I highly recommend it.

Used for homeschooling purposes and it works great. My daughter has learned all kinds of new things. They are also great for book reports.

I love this series of books. Very informative and my 8 year old enjoys them. Great read and fun as well. Keeps the kiddies interested.

Very well written, good for kids, very interesting to read - I got few Who was series and my daughter loved them

Love this whole series! I use them in my classroom and it's great for teaching kids how to read nonfiction.
