This was not what I was expecting at all. I was expecting a book that told the story of Brith of Jesus Christ. Instead I got a book that just touched base on the birth with very short passages. The book did have activities to do each day but this activities where for much smaller children. We love the Odyssey series and all of the other Odyssey devotionals swe have. This one was just a big let down. I would not recomend this advent to anyone.
I didn't care for this at all. I wasn't expecting black and white coloring book style buildings. On a school night there just simply isn't time to color it and assemble it and incorporate it all into an evening routine. I might have paid more if the pages were printed in color, but even then. It was lacking. The devotions were super shorts. Not very meaty. We did a few and then I gave the book away. It was not at all what I had expected.
I was not impressed with this nor was it what I expected. It really is just a paper village to cut out and assemble. The devotional portion is nothing like I expected. We were thinking it would be more like their 90 Devotions for Kids book. These are very short and not meaty at all-- and nothing like the other devotional book. I honestly would not recommend this as there are much better resources available for amazing advent devotionals and/or activities.
Love it. Another great product from Focus on the Family.
I really don't like this at all. You have to put a paper craft gather every day. I also did not like the stories. Guess I'll just give it away.
