This calendar is gorgeous. Each new day of Advent there is a new sticker to be placed on the Winter Christmas scene. Most of the stickers are simple things like additional stars for the sky or some trees for the landscape. We were always more excited when we got an animal or something more exciting. I used it with my just-turned-three year old. It took a few days to get the idea across that we only open one date each day, but it was a nice way work on delay of gratification and to build some anticipation about the season. One of the prettiest advent calendars I've seen.
I was looking for a non religious, non candy advent calendar. This is beautifully illustrated. My son loves placing a new sticker on the woodland scene each day. Its simple and inexpensive. I highly recommend.
I got this both for my nieces and for my own family, wondering exactly what it was... and everybody loves it! It's beautifully illustrated, and it's good fun to figure out where to place each day's sticker.
The art was swell and it was fun to add the stickers to the landscape. I would definitely get an Advent Calendar with art from the same artist in the future.
I gave this calendar as a family pre Christmas gift.. The parents thought it was awesome! and mailed a thank you note the same day they received it.. I understand that the kids ( girls ages 4 and 2) like it a great deal, lots of squeals and giggles..
I search for alternative choices to the chocolate type calendars as I have a daughter that is a vegan. This is a colorful "record album" size piece of art that each day you can add to. My kids are teens, and they still enjoyed this design and concept. The tree pops forward and stands, and you fold the front down to open up each day to find the sticker.
My grand kids love this calendar. They didn't even care that it had no candy -- they loved the pictures. It's well-made and comes packaged in a paper sleeve that has the same design as the calendar. The packaging makes it easy to save and protect the calendar and use it again next Christmas.
Beautifully illustrated. Great that it has no chocolate but still exciting for little ones. The pop ups are somewhat hard for little fingers and it is NOT a wall advent. It is meant to sit on a table.
