My 11 year old son just loves James Patterson books and this one was yet again a hit! Would definitely recommend this book. My son couldn't put it down after school. He read it in 2 days!
Public School SuperheroWritten by James Patterson and Chris TebbettsNarrated by: Joshua BooneI do not know how James Patterson does it. Where does he get the ideas for these fabulous tales? Not only has he penned various series for adults but also for young adults and children. My eight year old grandson and I listened to Public School Superhero together and we loved it. He wanted to stay in the car and listen to the CD even after we got home. There are too few books that appeal to boys on today’s bookshelves. Parents and grandparents this is a fantastic book that will appeal to boys and to some girls. In Public School Superhero readers learn about their self-worth and how to make good choices in life. The art work in this book is fabulous and will appeal to grades 3-7, ages 8-12.Public School Superhero is the story of Kenny Wright, superhero extraordinaire; in his mind he is Stainlezz Steel, defender of the weak. Kenny is actually a member of the chess club and his nick-name is “Grandma’s Boy.” He seems to have a sign on his back that calls out to the bullies, “pick on me.”
My 9 year old daughter wanted this book and it is really good quality. She liked it so much, her 11 year old brother is now reading it as well- he does not like to read and only likes Diary of a Wimpy Kid series, but he is enjoying this book as well, which is really great and I plan on ordering more of these for both kids!
My eleven year old granddaughter and my eight year grandson read to me w when they come to visit. To hear the laughter coming from them as they read aloud is so worth it. Thank you James Patterson. You are gifted.
This book is one of the best books I’ve read in the universe. My favorite parts are the pretend stories when Kenny is asleep and dreams he is the superhero Stainlezz Steel. Kenny is in sixth grade and goes to Union Middle School. He lives with his bossy grandma (G-ma for short) and he really likes chess. He doesn’t like the bullies at his school. One day he got into a fight with Ray-Ray, the school bully. That’s when the trouble starts. Read the book to find out what Kenny’s problems are and how he solves them. Awesome book!!!! This books is funny, entertaining and kids love it. The book carries the reader to a funny and entertaining mind set. Kids want to read this many times. I would recommend this book.
It had a great story line. It had a bunch of twists and great characters. Kept me wanting to keep reading to see what would happen next. I would DEFINITELY read the next book (if there is one!). Good for mainly boys, but girls might also like the story. I would say good for kids 4th grade and up.(written by the 11yo who read the book)
I bought 40 books to complete my collection by S. Cannell, M. Connelly, J. Patterson, & J. Wambaugh. I haven't read all of them yet, but these guys have never disappointed, and I don't think that they ever will. That's why I read them.
