This book is adorable. It is written with neutral pronouns so it could be a mother or father talking about a son or daughter. The foil on the pages is very pretty. I gave it to my sister when she had her first baby and she loved it, I plan to buy more of Emma Dodd's books in the future.
My granddaughter loves this little picture book. She may not totally understand the text that explains a mother's love for her little one but the wonderful illustrations of a little husky pup are adorable and hold her attention. This is the perfect bedtime book and when the child is older the narrative will strike a positive cord too. Love it!
This sweet poem is a parent wolf's wish for a pup. With its gentle rhymes and foil-embossed illustrations, this makes a lovely read-aloud for a younger child. Because genders are not specified, it provides a lot of flexibility for both reader and audience. Would make a great Christmas or winter birthday gift.
WISHES is a story told in the form of a poem about a parent wolf talking to its child. It tells of how the adult wolf's life became complete when it wished for the child, the wishes the adult wants to do now that the child is in its life, and the wishes the adult has for the child's future. WISHES makes a nice little book to read at night between a parent and child.
This is my absolute favorite children's book. It's so sweet and sentimental. Baby is turning 1 this week and this book made me tear up a bit.
