The book is great, but the Pout Pout Fish stuffed animal was really low quality. Not only was the fish rough, overstuffed, and the quality you'd expect from one of those crane game, but he also arrived with one eye looking a little up and to the side, and the other eye looking as far down as possible. I called and set up a replacement, but that one arrived looking just as bad. Finally, I asked them just to refund the purchase.For those who really want to find a great Pout Pout stuffed animal: I went onto eBay and purchased a Kohl's Pout Pout 16" fish for about $15. It looks great! It is also much better quality, super soft, and very squishable- as well as about 11" longer! If your kiddo is a Pout Pout fan, the Kohl's fish is definitely better deal. The price range for the Kohl's fish is all over the place on eBay, but at least you can see what you're getting and you know the quality is going to be great. (I'm not sure where else you can get it, as I believe it was discontinued.)
Terrific story for the little ones. I purchased this for my 2 year old grandson and he loved it right from the box. The plush Pout-Pout fish is nicely done - soft and cuddly and good size. The book has beautiful colorful drawings to supplement the unfolding funny story. The surprise ending was much appreciated by all. I can see that I will be purchasing other books in the Pout-Pout series.
I bought this for my two year old son, who looves the Pout-Pout Fish stories. He looves the Pout-Pout stuffed animal. I must say, this little guy is super cute and looks just like the fish in the pictures. Great quality plush and the hard-cover book is my son's new fav Pout-Pout story. (Packaging was cute, too)
My daughter loves the story, and it wasn't too much more to get the one with the stuffed fish. Keep in mind the book itself is small, as is the stuffed animal. Look at the dimensions and be informed before you purchase.
This book has been a favorite of my 5 year old and 2 year old for a long time. After borrowing The Pout Pout Fish many times from library , I decided it was time for us to buy our own copy. This is such a sweet, fun and engaging story about a gloomy fish with a pout that discovers that he can be a cheery fish. I bought this set around Christmas time for my toddler . He was so excited when he opened up this gift. The book is smaller, but perfect for little hands. We have had this set for over a year and it has held up very well. We read this often. My kids really enjoy acting out the story with the plush that comes included with this set, I just wish it was made of better quality material. Overall this was a great buy for my family and very cherished by my littles!
This arrived in perfect condition and is intended as a gift for my niece. While others have stated the fish is very small and, as a result, lowered their rating, I like the size of the fish. It's a very big fistful of pout-pout and will be appreciated as an extra bonus along with the hardcover book (nicer than just giving a book since the kids have something to hold onto). Recommended!
I knew the stuffed toy was going to be small but I was not expecting such low quality fabric. The fabric is so thin you can nearly see through it to see the stuffing. This makes the toy appear dirty. The pages of the book were very flimsy and could easily be torn. The "fish tank" is the box the book and plush come in and other than the fact that the front is clear...it does not look like a fish tank at all. Very disappointed!
My daughter loves pout pout fish so I was really excited to find a stuffed animal for her! She was so excited to get this and sleeps with pout pout every night. I just love all the pout pout stories and my daughter loves to get big kisses when she's feeling sad. I also like the books because even at 18mo she could recite some of the repetitive parts.
