Ordered this for one of my 3 year old grands who loves Thomas the Engine. A surprise to all of us she is a little girl who loves dolls, purses, & makeup too. She will play with her Thomas the Train engine & track for hours, so getting her a new book for Christmas should rate pretty good for Grandma & Grandpa. Received as described in a timely manner. So much easier searching on line instead of walking store aisles. Thank you.
Our son (almost 4) really likes this book. There are more words on each page than many of the Thomas books but he ususally sits through it all. I would recommend for an advanced 3 year old or 4-6 year olds.
We have just about all of the Thomas and Friends Little Golden Books. My 3 and 5 year old sons love them, and they ask me to read one right after another. I love that not only are the pictures really great and detailed, but the stories are pretty long. If you're looking for a quick 3-minute read before bedtime, these books are not the ones; but, if you're looking to really read to your child, these books are great. The books all have at least a bit of a life lesson in them, and nothing even remotely inappropriate for young ones. Oh, and a great thing for me is that they don't put me to sleep!!! I think these are great books for building vocabulary, too, since they use some words kids may not otherwise be exposed to, but nothing so advanced as to be off-putting. Overall, very enjoyable, which is what reading for kids should be, right???
My son loves Thomas the train, he is 18 months. We limit his TV to 1 hr/day and its all Thomas. would love to have this book with board pages, as he has already ripped 3-4 of them in this one.
Thomas books are a favorite in my son's collection of books. He's got an extensive library already, and Thomas books are some of his favorite to read.
The pictures are too small in the kindle version. If they combine pictures and text like they do in the regular books it would be much better.
