Wonderful illustrations, will be a Christmas gift for my son who loves dinosaurs, vivid colors, awesome pop ups**Update**He absolutely loved the book, it's small enough he carries it everywhere but it's sturdy too, he loves looking at the pictures and we read it Together at least a dozen times a day, it's easy to understand, and it's still in one piece!!!
My son who is almost two absolutely loves this book! The pop-up's are somewhat durable, but I would recommend supervision if you have a "very curious" toddler, so he/she doesn't tear them.
My daughter LOVES dinosaurs and pop-up books so I couldn't resist this one when I saw it... I was not disappointed. She simply loves this book. My only complaint is that I wish it was a bit longer / had more pages... but other than that - awesome book!
Purchased this as a gift for a 3 year old. I looked through it when it arrived and I was very pleased with it. Will be engaging to a young child. Definitely for the preschool and younger set. It made a nice looking gift and I was pleased with my purchase.
I used this book with my 3 1/2, 4, and 5 year old students. However, the children were not as curious about the book as they were with other Pop-Up books I have. Also, I found the names of the dinosaurs a little difficult to pronounce. In addition, my class have more girls than boys. Not many of the girls in my classes take interest in dinosaurs. However, the pictures in the book are fantastic. I will add this book to my children's library.Edna
Our young baby loves this book even though the concept of a dinosaur is still beyond him. He loves anything pop-up and I'd say it's really the last page (T-Rex) that alone makes the book worthwhile. As he grows I think it'll only get more beneficial.One caveat is the teeth on the T-Rex are actually quite sharp so watch out if you use with a young child. Ours though cracks up when we initiate the dinosaur talking to him by opening and up closing the book to move the mouths of a couple dinos.
look, this book is an upgrade from a book that i already have. i thought it was different, but it was from the same company. all that said, its my son's favorite. he has, however, ripped out most of their faces. hey, it happens!
This is such a fun, interactive book to read with one's 3-year-old who is really into dinosaurs. My son can be rough with the books sometimes, and with this one, he likes to pull things and makes the T-Rex eat with the mouth. We have had it for several months now, and it is still in great condition.
