We love Pete the Cat but it hasn't been the same without Eric Litwin. The writing in this particular book seemed especially bad. Too many different things going on and Pete saves the day by starting to play the guitar???
Nice little story about trying to organize a party and making new friends even when there are some troubles along the way. My young elementary students like to read Pete the Cat stories, but this one was a little tricky with the long dinosaur names so I had to help them a little more than usual to get through this one. That's really my only detraction. The story has themes and basic conflict that young kids will recognize, and it offers solutions that will hopefully resonate with them.
My son loves the Pete the Cat books. I hadn't seen the series prior to seeing them on , but my sons teacher evidently had read them to his Kindergarten class weekly. Overall I love that we can read these books together, some he can read more than I need to - I love the illustrations and the funny story lines. Pete the cat is a hit in our home for sure!
This book doesn't read much like a traditional Pete the cat book; no catchy phrases and absolutely no singing incorporated into the story line! I miss the cool cat! My 3 year old was clearly disappointed!
Pete the Cat is my 6 year old son's favorite book character, we love all of his stories. We have read this one several times since he received it on Christmas. I love that these 'bigger' ones come with stickers, I do not believe the I can read ones do. We will keep buying and reading Pete the Cat for awhile now. The artwork is great as always. I am looking into getting my son the doodle and draw Pete the Cat book for his birthday.
My toddler LOVES Pete the Cat and Dinosaurs so this book is a total win! It is such a cute story about friendship. The drawings are very colorful and engaging. The stickers are an added bonus! We love this book - the illustrations are fantastic, the story line is fun and sweet, and the dinosaur characters are great! Very enjoyable book!
My 22 month old LOVES pete the cat, the wheels on the bus book. This one he doesn't dislike, he just doesn't ever get too excited about it. We read the wheels on the bus several times every day, this one he almost never chooses for us to read to him. Not sure why. I think it's a cute book, as are most of the pete the cat books I've seen.
What can I say but we are always pleased with Pete the Cat books. My daughter's turning 10 and is not as exciting as much so I have slowed in buying. She LOVES TO READ THIS TO MY 2 year old grandson.!
