My three-and-a-half year old son LOVES Thomas and Friends and we like to read a couple stories before bedtime every night. We love the Little Golden Books because they are the perfect length and we can typically read at least two of them before bed, if not more. My son didn't have this book and he also enjoys watching Dinosaur Train so I figured this story would be a good one to add to our collection.Thomas and the Dinosaur is the story of Percy coming into the shed claiming there is a monster in the forest. Thomas doesn't know what a monster is and he's scared to go into the forest but he has jobs to do. As he is on his way to work, he encounters the monster, which is actually just a model of a dinosaur that is being used for Sodor's new dinosaur park. After Thomas learns what dinosaurs are, he is pretty proud to help pull the dinosaur to the park.Like all LGB, this book measures 6 1/2 inches by 8 inches, has hard covers, paperback pages, and a gold spine. This story is 24 pages long, has colorful illustrations and at least a couple sentences on each page, or set of pages. It fits in perfectly with the rest of our LGB collection and is a good story for us to read. It takes us about five minutes to read, or 10 if we talk about the story. I love the length of these stories because then we can read a couple before bedtime.Overall, we like this book and read it occasionally but we have so many LGB that we don't read it too often. I love how the Thomas and Friends books teach lessons in many of their stories and this one teaches kids that being helpful is something to be proud of.
