Awesome timing on the release of this great early reader for my Chris Gall/dinosaur loving son. We've been fans of Chris Gall since our first read of Dinotrux a few years ago. We now have most of his books in our permanent library. This is the first one put together as an early ready and was the perfect thing to get my almost Kindergartner enthused about reading practice. Thanks to Chris Gall for another great book!!
Kind of a dumb story. My son was excited about this book because of the illustrations but the story is just dumb. I'm usually indifferent to the stories so long as my son likes them but he was bored by the story. If it weren't for the illustrations he wouldn't have sat with me reading it. I'll still try other dinotrux books since they have good reviews but trust the reviews on this one. The story sucks.
This story was great when my daughter was starting school to get rid of any of those jitters. She was able to see how the Dinotrux got prepared for there first day along with meeting a smelly caveman! Perfect addition for any Dinotrux lover!
My 4 year old is obsessed with DinoTrux. He has every Diecast figure and book. This one doesn't follow the characters and story line of the TV show, so not the best of the Trux books, but still a great book.
Getting ready to go to school? Try this reader book out to get him/her started. cute story and fun characters. The characters have some tough names even mom struggled with but reading together makes it no problem!
I have been reading this with my three year old grandson. We love all the Dinotrux books! This one for beginning readers has simpler illustrations but the same type of wacky humor, and also a reassuring message for those little ones about to enter school for the first time. We'll be hoping for more books from this author!
My 4 year old enjoys this book and since preschool is just around the corner he is always asking me to read it to him. We also have the other 2 Dinotrux books and all 3 are the first ones he grabs each night for story time. Dinosaurs and trucks are his two favorite things so these books are perfect!
Awesome book, as with all the Dinotrux books. Has a sweet message about helping each other out that comes out genuine and not hokey like in so many books.My only reason for putting 4 stars is that there is NOT ONE SINGLE female character. Not a single Dinotrux is a girl.
