Although it took a little longer to receive these cards, they were worth the wait. They're of very good quality & have the English word in small print on the the top right of each card. If you're unfamiliar w/ the Russian language, you could struggle w/ the pronunciation of the words; there's no phonetic spelling on the cards, nor the Russian alphabet included.
Finally, after years of looking, I found flashcards big enough for my child. The flashcards are sturdy, bright pictures and the letters are very clear. These flashcards can be used for all sorts of Russian language exercises with both native and non-native speakers. I strongly recommend these flashcards for families where one parent is a non-native speaker.
These are exactly what we wanted. They have nice pictures. The pictures with Russian and the word of what the picture is (in case it isn't clear) on one side and the word only in Russian on the other side. There are the numbers 1 - 10 and a few colors and lots of normal words for a child to learn. I am very pleased with the purchase. It arrived on schedule and in perfect condition.
I like the quality of the cards, but some pictures in my opinion would look better if it be real, not toys, and some Russian words I don't think even used in Russian anymore. I would also prefer instead of "tractor" (for example) be another card with picture that today's children are playing, like a cell phone or computer. Over all, I still would recommend to use those flashcards to play with your kids and grandkids.
Bought these to help my beginner Russian student friend study during "down time." I feel these are more than sufficient for a beginner or child who is just starting to learn vocabulary!
I like them and do many different exercises using these cards. The only thing - I paid 20 dollars for them. Too much.
The baby loves these flashcards. They are the only Russian ones I Could find with the russian word written on both sides and a picture written on just one. Fantastic item.
