Bought the Daily Brain Games calendar for the first time in 2014.After reading the foreword, and how each day's exercise would focuson one of five different cranial areas, as one might work on strengtheningthe body (soma)--I thought I'd give it a try for a year.As you can see, I'm back for another year...and have purchased a few forgifts as well. This year (2015), I hope to work on the two areas which need"tweaking". "Happy Neuron" has a great idea in this daily calendar!
We have only used for one week, it is a page a day calendar, and so far the games are not brain challenging at all. An 8 year old can complete the ones we have read for the first part of the year. Maybe it gets more challenging later in the month?
I bought this for myself, thinking it would be fun to have a puzzle to figure out every day. Nope. Might be fun for a kid, or someone learning English as a second language, maybe? The questions are so ridiculously easy! There are some memorization tests that I guess are a bit difficult, but not interesting to me. Overall I'm really disappointed. I've had the Mensa calendars before, and those really do require some brain power. This.. is a waste of time and money, unless it's being given to a kid or someone who is mentally challenged. I can't imagine most adults finding this challenging at all.
Pretty disappointed with the 2015 version. It is very easy. For example one of the games is find 5 words that start with BA. I finished in about .2 seconds. Not exactly a puzzle....
Again, a great gift for the puzzle minded. A different type of mini puzzle a day. Some easy, some hard but all of them interesting. A fun way to start each day.
its ok ,i got it for the whole family but we have a hard time answering the easy rated questions.
I bought this for my 82 year old mother. It keeps her challenged daily, which was the goal.
Repetitious, boring, mostly unchallenging, not a good Brain Games calendar.
