This is a gift for my dad and father-in-law. My parents used to get this every year and they enjoyed answering the questions at breakfast. Each week has a category and as the week moves on, the questions get more difficult. At the end of the week, you can make a wager just like in Final Jeopardy. Fun to do as a family or alone.My father-in-law is hard to shop for. I hope he'll like it. He can't hate it anymore than other presents I've gotten him.
I buy the Jeopardy! calendar for my father every Christmas. It has been our tradition for over a decade.My dad loves this calendar. He keeps a running total of his winnings. He won over $74,000,000 dollars last year! If only that were real...But in all seriousness, he loves the challenge of this calendar. He does not remember any questions being repeated.The calendar itself is of a high quality. The pages rip off easily, the paper is of good quality, and the plastic backing holds up perfectly all year.This is a great calendar for trivia & Jeopardy! lovers everywhere.
We have a trivia league at work and we have used this calendar exclusively the last two years. It's a high stakes game with bragging rights, trash talk, quarterly and half year challenges, etc...This calendar has a broad base of categories so if you're not, say, a history buff or a sports fanatic you still have a shot at some of the other questions. Some other reviewers said there are some repeat questions from last year's calendar but we haven't run into that yet.
We've had the Cash Cab calendars for the past few years, but couldn't find one for 2015, so we settled for this. While the questions are a little odd to get used to, especially for someone who's never watched Jeopardy!, I do like the fact that there is a page for every day, including Sunday, as opposed to the calendars which have a combined Saturday/Sunday. We often read the questions at the dinner table, and then the conversation starts with the question and wanders from there.
My 3rd consecutive year for this calendar-just a few seconds a day for a bit of information.
Fun calendar to display on your desk at work. It allows you to keep a weekly score and even wager a "Final Jeopardy" question every weekend. Good trivia and interesting categories. The stand feels like every other standup calendar stand -- overall completely fine and will make it through the entire year.
I buy a Jeopardy calendar annually. Last year I realized that the answer (question) on the reverse could be read easily on the front of the page. It is not hidden behind the words and is backwards of course but easily deciphered. Not that anyone would cheat! Then I noticed the same thing in the 2015 calendar. Today I took a magic marker and put a line through the answer (question) on the front of the page. And I wonder if all of the calendars are like this, or I am just lucky .
I have this on my desk at work, and it makes for some fun midday breaks with co-workers. Nice mix of easier and harder questions with corresponding money values if you want to play along for each week.
