I am just finishing up my 2015 Will Shortz calendar, and am looking forward to using my Will Shortz Sudoku in 2016. I like how it is a solid surface, and is easier to hold, play, and rip off the completed game, rather than holding a Sudoku book.
I love Sudoku. I love getting a new one each day when I pull off the last date. But I don't like that these are not rated for difficulty (maybe 1* to 5* or easy, moderate and difficult). I find they're all either easy or moderate but again, with no labels. This is just my opinion based on the puzzles I do in newspapers that there are none that would be considered difficult. And adding the difficult level would be an easy thing to add to next year's version. So because I didn't feel there were any difficult puzzles and because they didn't include a difficulty rating I am giving this 3 stars - it's just "OK". I will look for another brand/version next year so I get more of what I wanted.
This is not the difficult daily calendar as I wanted. I wish the description would explain this in detail. I did not return however I have a years worth of easy to mdium puzzles.
My husband likes these Sudoku calendars that are attached at the top and this one was the only one I could find that was not loose pages. He's very happy with it.
The 2016 puzzles are far too easy as of now - they're no fun if they aren't challenging. Though it looks like they might get harder later in the year.
Love this.... the first few were awfully easy, but they do seem to be getting more difficult. Hopefully by the end they will be VERY difficult!!!
This calendar is at best a medium level - really wanted the more challenging version by Will Shortz, which is apparently not available this year
Up until Jan15th written for the brain dead. Not a patch on the 2104/15 calendars. No challenge, no satisfaction. Never buy again.
