If you read the DC Super-Pets or a fan of Krypto The Superdog TAS than this book is right up your alley. Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman bring there super-pets Ace the Bathound, Streaky the Supercat and Jumpa the Kangaroo to Metropolis Pet Show but end up haveing the go up against Joker's Hyenas (Crackers & Giggles), Cheetah's Chauncy and Killer Croc's Ana Conda.
My son loves the pets but the story was kind of weak and he didn't understand why the Joker is 'nice' in this book when he is supposed to be a bad guy. We discussed this but overall he was not a huge fan of the storyline.
I bought it because I thought I was gonna see Krypto in action, but not at all. Which Universe is this? Superman's pet is KRYPTO, while Streaky belongs to his cousin Kara (a.k.a. Supergirl). At least we could see Ace in action.
Bought this for my 3yo daughter who loves superwoman, etc. But the story is WAY too complex. I thought by the cover it would a cute little story with little super animals. But it's really for older kids.
My grandson loved this book. He did not know the super friends had pets. He reads each everyday.
Great book and way to share love of DC with children.
