My daughter loves the Biscuit books. Ever since we started reading it aloud to her, she fell in love. We have almost all the original Biscuit books. However, I do not like these new books. The writing style is definitely different - they added, "...said the little girl," when previously it wasn't in the original books. It takes away from the story. Other than that, we still love Biscuit.
My 2 year old daughter is in love with anything Biscuit! She started with Biscuit and the baby, and has received many more from this series. This one seems to keep her entertained, and she asks me to re-read it to her over and over again, which means the story must be entertaining for her. I recommend for a two year old.
Biscuits is a loveable character, and the story is simple with lots of repetition. The illustrations are so very appealing to our 1-1/2-year-old grandson. Because Biscuit is always getting into some kind of mischief, the series is delightful for very young children.
My daughter has been obsessed with biscuit books. They were the first books she would actually sit and listen to as you read them. We have bought many of the birthday ones. We always toss one in when we go to a little child's birthday party.
The perfect book for our 1 year old! Everyone is getting a biscuit book and hers will be the birthday one. So many to choose from which made it easy to find a different one from the Biscuit series for each of the children.
My granddaughter opened up the package and just sat down and read the whole story. She had seen the name on the back of one of the other Biscuit books and really wanted this one. I couldn't find it in a book store so came to the rescue. She has enjoyed more in the series.
Great series of books for early readers - my daughter loves Biscuit and each new book we get is such an incentive for her to practice her reading!
