This book is definitely not a story book - there isn't a plot or any adventure in it. The book is just a handful of pages about each of the paw patrol characters. They don't save anyone or anything. It flat out ends after they say they are ready to go on a mission.The only redeeming factor that my son loves are the 2 pages of stickers. Without those, this book would be a waste in a small child's mind. They want the story and the excitement. Come on, we all know that our kids know WHO these characters are at this point. I was very disappointed and very happy that I had bought another Paw Patrol book with an actual story.
This is cute and the pictures are bright, but it's not really a story - it's more of an introduction to all of the pups of Paw Patrol. My 4yr old already knew all of their names & what they do - he wanted a story, not a re-introduction.
Great book for readers and non readers. My two year old cannot read but loves paw patrol, so we look at it together, the story is easy to follow and the colors are bright. Stickers are a nice added bonus too.
The best part of this book is all the stickers it includes. My son had a great time choosing where to put them (on his toy shopping cart, his sticker book, his plastic toy bins). They are a little hard for a two year old to peel the stickers off the page, but with some help it's no problem. The story is basic, just telling about each pup and how they use their special tools to save the day. We did learn some facts about our favorite Paw Patrol characters (Skye is a Cockapoo pup, who knew!), and my son likes to read this book on a regular basis.
This item arrived in time by the noted date- just in time for our Son's birthday on yesterday; in addition, this item arrived in perfect condition- just as described: I am so very pleased with this purchase; this colorful book with stickers is just what we were looking for in the time that we needed it in. Our Son (and 8 year-old Daughter) are truly enjoying it: what a perfect birthday gift! Thanks a mil!
There weren't a lot of options for Paw Patrol books, so I jumped at the chance to buy this one! While the book is cute, it isn't a story at all, it is just a description of each character. My 4 year old son was a bit disappointed when we started reading this to him, because he is already familiar with the characters. I would have liked to know this ahead of time and searched a little longer for a proper story.
When I saw this, I knew I had to get it for my son. He absolutely loves Paw Patrol. I was also glad that it was at a really inexpensive price. Sometimes Children's books are very expensive - especially when you consider the fact that they have a tendency to destroy things when you're not watching. I do wish the cover was a bit more durable - it was bent when it arrived. The stickers are a great addition as well, I found that after my son was done playing with them, we could stick them on the inside covers to save. It's a great show, and teaches them good lessons. This book is like an introduction to all the characters. It's perfect to help the parent or adult learn more about the show their child loves. This is a great way to get your child into reading when they may not show much interest in it.
Unlike the Paw Patrol birthday book, this book was a hit with the little ones because of the stickers. Nickelodeon should rethink the birthday book. The one thing that would make this book great is if the pages had sticker release paper. Now that would be beautiful. The child could place stickers as you read and then return them to the "holding" pages when done. Even better if they were clings.
