While this is part of the 'Kids' line, there is a lot here to keep the older sibling and adult interested. The presentation is what has come to be expected from the folks at National Geographic with excellent photos and vibrant colours to attract and keep the attention of the kids, while keeping the adult interested while reading to them.By the way, Be warned that I do recommend that you read it as well either to them, with them, or on your own lest you come up seriously short as your young charges bombard you with questions on some of the MANY trivia facts that this book so superbly brings to them.Note...you have been warned.

If you love trivia you will love this book. It is for most ages. If you can read, you will learn more things than you ever knew possible. Love this read. It is a fun book for me,and I'm a grandma---and my grandkids love it too.

We used this on a road trip and it entertained the kids (10 & 8) for a while. The only thing is that the answers are in another section of the book. And you have to keep flipping back and forth. The print is small too.

I ordered this book to have when my 8 year old Grandson visited and we spend many hours reading and talking about all the new facts. He loves puzzles, jokes and loved all the fun facts. It started many conversations. I have bought National Geographic books for kids before and never been disappointed.

Pro - Content is great, quizzes are challenging and entertaining, pictures and layout is well thought out. (5 stars)Con - our biggest complaint is quality of the binding. Didn't last 3 days and would never last in the classroom. Also, the paper is not "slick"(like a magazine) or laminated, so doesn't hold up to many hands. Previous books have better paper. Not at all happy with this one. (1 star). There are some pictures attached showing my child's attempt to tape back the pages that fell out.

The National Geographic line of kids' books always pleases our family. My bright 7 year old loves this book and tries to "stump" Mom and Dad with the trivia questions. There are different sections, which focus on a specific area, and the questions provide answer choices (a,b,c or d) with the answers in the back of the book. With the different areas of focus, he learns several facts about each topic. And he is becoming accustomed to the multiple choice answer format found in school. It is great for a car ride to encourage family interaction and provide an alternative to video games. My son learns while having fun, which is an A+ in my book.

Excellent book for children, loads of fun and facts that will ensure the expansion of your child's mind and ability to be creative.

I thought this book was going to have source information for its quiz questions but it doesn't. I'm not sure how one would intend to use this book, read the questions and go online to find the answer? I don't really see the point. I was hoping the book would have source information on the quiz question to read, and then be able to answer the questions.
