This book is cute. The finger puppet part is adorable! However, the book is super small. Approx. 3.5 x 3.5 inches. My kids get a kick out of watching the "giraffe" look around at things as we read the book.
Bought this for my 2 year old granddaughter...she's fascinated with the finger puppet part of the book, and likes the story pretty well too! I like that it's well constructed and soft for little fingers to touch. If your little one loves giraffes, this is a good buy!
This book was wayyyy smaller than I expected. Especially for the price! Although the Giraffe part is cute and the book is a nice hard back, expect a TINY book.
We have another one of these with a snowman. This one was almost as cute (there is just something about snowmen that is hard to beat). The books are very small and the finger puppet is exactly that, a finger puppet. But the kids have fun trying to grab onto the puppet as it wiggles around and looks out from their book.
Cute idea for a baby book. My 10 month old really likes the interaction with the finger puppet. Not much to the "story", but that is not the point of this book. Well made and sturdy. It should easily last until he is 30...or until he grows bored of it...which will probably be next week. Still totally worth the money for some valuable daddy-son time.
I bought this book thinking my one year old would get a kick out of it at her giraffe birthday party. She has almost never used it. I've tried to read it to her with using the finger puppet and she doesn't find it very interesting. She is now almost a year and a half old. I think if it was a bigger book with a puppet, she would get a bigger kick out of it or if it was smaller without a puppet. Then she could open and read the book without trouble. Probably the part that makes it less interesting the most is that every page looks the same. Same colors anyways. This makes it less interesting for her. BUT I think if I bought it earlier when she was much younger, she would have thought it was fun.
My twins love these finger puppet books. They laugh when I read the story and make the giraffe move around. The books are the perfect size for small hands to look through too. They are board books so they can also withstand the toddler years!
I bought several of these puppet finger books and they were a great hit with everyone at the party and they were all adults! So im sure once baby arrived he too will love them, so much fun to play with!!
