My 2 year old LOVES this entire series of Nat. Geo Readers... I have purchased about 25 different titles, "pre-readers" as well as Level 1 & 2 readers. She loves them all & will ask for certain ones. The "pre-readers" level books are extremely simple & great because she memorizes the words & can "read" it herself. We love the more advanced ones too, because there is more information to talk about. I have learned quite a few facts, myself!) What a great series. The price is reasonable & pictures are great. These are really getting her interested in nature, animals & science... I will continue to buy these as they are released, for our collection!
weak. kids like pictures, but this in comparison to the other work is just weak. Pictures of large and small dogs, like in the monkey book would have been great since pups range in size. The page with walking has a pup with the lead in his mouth, not walking anywhere with anyone.Could have been better. The author does not tell us the breed. The purpose of having scientific texts is to increase vocabulary- this one sadly dropped the ball.
My one-year old daughter AND kindergarten students both love this book! Totally adorable nonfiction.
The pictures are heartwarming
