Great Book!!! This book is just one of many (Little Golden Books)I bought for my Granddaughter for her Birthday (2 yrs. old). She just loves to be read to at all times of the day and at night when it's bedtime! These books are great books to hand down through generations. That's what we did in my family. Myself and my brothers and sisters had probably just about every (Golden Book) made, and we left them at Mom and Dad's house and all the grand and great grand kids have used them and finally after all these years they are to worn out and some have even had to be thrown away. But, there are still some in pretty good shape that are still floating around through the family. I've decided that is and was a good family tradition, so I have restarted it again with my Grandson who is now going to be 12 this year and he is my younger daughters son, and I am doing it again with my older daughter's children which is my granddaughter as of right now and a grandson due in August. Hopefully they will do as we did and hand them down to their children in the years ahead. Great Books and a whole lot of enjoyment from reading them through the years!!!!!
It has great pictures and fortunately is a touch abbreviated so I can read it to my 4 year old son every night without either of us getting bored. Cruella and/or the gentleman do smoke in it but so does my son's grandmother, and I read this version when I was a kid and I don't smoke so I really don't think reading a classic will predispose you one way or another to that.
This beautiful book is a full color adaptation from the disney movie of the same name. The illustrations captured my child's attention and made for great story time. Timeless tale of good vs. evil. A great read for any generation!
Why have only 100 dalmatians when you can have 101?! This story about a wacky dog owner that wants to live in a house filled to the brim with dogs is a cautionary tale that delivers an important message to kids: "spay or neuter your pets" and "fur is murder".
This is long enough to tell the story but short enough to keep young readers engaged without distracting them with excessive detail.Depending on how inquisitive your young reader is, you may find yourself searching your memory or online for character names (Cruella's henchmen, Jasper and Horace, are not named in this book) or to explain some parts of the book.
My five year old liked the book. She was questioning why the other Dalmatian dogs didn't have on their collars. Her favorite part was when Cruella was having a tantrum. Don't ask me why. This is another Disney classic.
The pages were sticking out of the cover and the ridges were raised. Not a good quality of the design but the pages and colors are good for a child who will rip them or draw on them anyway. The artwork is great and the inside is lovely.
It's a great Golden Book, but I never thought I'd pay nearly $10 for it. It was sent quickly, which was wonderful, but I didn't really know that was what I was buying until it arrived. I thought I was getting a better book.
