This book is so cute! Its perfect for young children. I hate to giuve the story away, but I think it is something that all kids and their parents can relate to... a ducking that doesn't want to nap but wants to keep playing. Classic story. Adorable illustrations.
Gideon is another great book we had to add to our Gossie collection, all the characters in the books are cute and each has their own personality. The words are simple and the stories are easy to understand for toddlers.My daughter is Gossie obsessed!
This book was a gift my friend's baby boy. She name him Gideon, and was pleasantly surprised to know there was a book named after her sweet baby. Well the book was published before he was thought of, of coarse but none the less it was a great 1st birthday present.
So this book is very well written and our toddler picks it for story time all the time.The only problem we encounter now is that our daughter claims she doesn't want to nap.She clearly needs to understand a bit more what the book is really about. The duckling says he doesn't want to nap but then at the end falls asleep on a haystack.
We bought this book for our son to give to our newest baby (Gideon). The book is very cute and we love it and "big brother" loves sitting and "reading" it to his little brother. We bought it not knowing much but knew we wouldn't find "Gideon" written on a lot of things for our son. Would recommend this to anyone.
This book is wonderful! As are the rest of the books in this series. I read them to my grandson who is 18 months old and the story and pictures hold his interest so much that he is now saying a word or two along with me. A great series of books to help little ones begin to read! eg. Gossie, BooBoo, Gossie and Gertie etc. All excellent books!!!!!!!!!
My 2.5 year old daughter LOVES the Gossie and Friends books. She always asks for them by name, and has them memorized very quickly. The illustrations are simple but great, and the story lines are relatable for little kids.
My son's name is Gideon. This was a must have on our bookshelf. The book is sturdy and small enough for small hands to hold it. The illustrations are nice, and Gideon and his friend Otto are hard not to love.
