My least favorite of the 8 we own from the series. Jasper is uptight. Joop is a slob. A lot of "Too wet" said Jasper, "TOO WET!" honked Joop. The plot is that Jasper is a neat-freak, and Joop is the fun goose. Then they run from some bees together and dive into a pond. It's saving grace, and why it's 3 and not 2 stars, is that it helps explain the concept of being neat vs. messy. But that's not a tough concept.
One of the books in the Gossie and Friends series of board books. The grandchildren and I love these books. They are easy reads and quite enjoyable too. I recommend this and any other of the books in this series.
Jasper and Joop are the best of friends. The only thing is that they are polar opposites. They don't let their personality differences get in the way of things. When push comes to shove they are always ready to have a great time together!The book is small in size making it easy for toddlers to hold and turn the pages.Each page has only a few sentences on each page making this easy to read to little ones who have short attention spans.I would recommend this book to parents and caregivers of children ages birth to 3. The story is very simple and is one that kids will enjoy hearing over and over again.
Jasper and Joop are different, but when it comes to having fun, these two friends are on the same team. Children, ages 2-5, will like to read this small picture book, and follow these friends through their adventures, smiling and laughing all the way.
Cute storybook for the little ones.up to age 4 perhaps. Adorable pictures. Nice story. And a sweet lesson about friendship.
The book was wonderful to read aloud and made the child it was read to laugh out loud. Very appropriate for a 2year old.
MR. DUNREA DOES IT AGAIN! I LOVED THE ART AND MY KIDS HAVE GROWN WITH THESE BOOKS. WE LOVE THE TALES OF THESE ADORABLE GOSLINGS AND *SPOILER ALERT* WE LOVED THE PART WHERE THE GRAY GOSLING AND THE WHITE GOSLING WORK TOETHER TO ESCAPE THE BEES. THESE ARE EXCELLENT BOOKS FOR BEGINNING READERS AND GREAT FUN TO READ TO YOUR KIDS. WE HAVE KIDS THAT REMIND US OF JASPER AND JOOP. KIDS AND PARENTS WILL LOVE THESE SIMPLE BOOKS. YOU WILL FIND THAT YOU WANT TO SHARE WILL OTHERS YOUR GREAT FIND. I GIVE THEM AS PART OF A BABY SHOWER GIFT.
My grandson can't get enough of this book. The characters are sweet, considerate and oh so familiar. You will see your own friends in these charming best friends.
