This book was phenomenal for my class. Everyone loved the beautiful pictures and the song was very easy to download from the website provided. I was surprised to see all the resources the author gives with the book such as coloring pages and activities that I was easily able to integrate into my class. If you homeschool or teach I highly suggest this and all Tad Hill books to you. I run my own business teaching American Sign Language and enjoy using these books with all of my students. The original Duck and Goose book and Duck and Goose Go to the Beach have rich stories that are cleverly worded and fun to read. This is a board book so don't buy if you're expecting that but as a board book my daughter loves it. It is just a very simple song describing a dance perfect for a toddler but with the gorgeous charming illustrations we all love from Tad Hills. My daughter loves Duck and Goose and asks me to read this very simple book again and again. Just wanted to note that older kids may not find this as appealing as the hardcovers with actual stories.
We got this as a gift and it's amazing. I'm not sure why, but my son absolutely loves this book. He points to this book every night for me to read it to him and repeats the word duck. Just like any board book not much going on, but I try to get animated and point out the ducks and dance around as I read it to follow the story. He loves it!!
As always, Tad Hills' books delight and make you smile. They are such a wonderful tool for young readers and for reading to children. The art is engaging and inviting and the lessons learned are always good ones. Everyone should have a library full of all the Duck and Goose books and don't forget Rocket!!
Love, love all of the Duck & Goose books by Tad Hills. Especially love this interactive dance book. My toddler loves acting it out! The accompanying CD moves a bit fast, but we're working on it.
My 3 year old grandson loves this ! Each page gets you up and dancing with the duck and goose. Such fun to do with him.
