My girlfriend and I came across this book at a store on our travels and didn't have room in our luggage for a hardcover book, but I went and bought it the day we got home. That's how captivating it was! This book brought me back to the oversized hardcover picture books I read as a kid. The illustration is absolutely wonderful, imaginative, funny, and if full of subtle details that keep your eyes moving across every composition. And as an avid traveler and geography geek, this book covers so many of the world's most unique experiences and places. Whether you've experienced some of these places or just dream about them, you'll feel that youthful sense of wonder and adventure from this book.Oh and if you think it's fun for adults, wait til anyone under the age of 12 gets their hands on it. I have a 2.5 year old nephew who is picking up new words every day, and this book is PERFECT for him to learn with. He is entranced by all the colors, architecture, animals, vehicles and cultural objects. He is learning what different landscapes look like, the names of countries, exotic animals, unique recreation activities, etc. I hope this goes on to inspire his own curiosity about the world! You'll be amazed how a book like this can stick with a child for their whole life.I think this is one book worth owning for anyone who loves adventure, young and old. Parents, take a break from digital entertainment and add this book to your little one's library! It will grow with them for sure!

A beautiful book, lots of educational activities which I plan to do over Skype with my granddaughter who lives overseas. The hardback cover will protect the pages, the illustrations are colorful and will help to teach children about different countries and their cultures. Highly recommend this book. The seller, Serendipity Unlimited delivered the book quickly and in excellent condition.

I can't say enough about this book. It is HUGE, so the illustrations are easy to look at and navigate with a young child. My son, age 3, loves looking through this book with me and talking about all the countries in the world. One of our favorite coffee table books!

Beautiful book! My 4 year old attends a Montessori School, and this is a hit amongst that crowd. I showed the link to a few interested moms at a recent birthday party. They immediately saved it to their wish lists. Highly recommend!

Really fun, my 2nd grader took to it right away. Just as a high-maintenance designer I wish the printing was a little better so the colors really sang, but the illustrations are fun and the ideas are great.

Lovely collection of stories & pictures. Nice book to explore with you younger ones...& works great even with older kids up to ages 11/12. This beautiful book filled with lovely pictures easily accessible helps kids love books!

This book is GREAT! We do a great deal of traveling and this book is always the #1 choice for my girls (ages 8 and 5) when we're packing up the car. They LOVE reading this book! It's also been the center of attention many nights. I often "catch" the girls including the things they learned in the games that they play, it's so neat! We love this book!

I found this book to be more than just an atlas, it is a large tour that gives a glimpse of all kinds of adventures people can see and do and experience around the world. The book is fully illustrated and divided up by continents, with several adventures portrayed within each. Many of the things they describe I had never heard of before, and my children are really enjoying looking at all of the interesting details.
