- Poorly organized - no continuity between topics (eg, volume covered before area (in inches & cm), capacity w/ cups just thrown in, then area problems (in/ft & metric)..the book starts w/ number lines & some fraction problems using only metric units, and number rounding w/ no units)- Problems start super easy and redundant, then inexplicably jump in level of difficulty- Lots of review with fractions and decimals, large number problems also thrown in for no apparent reason (about 20 pages)- Elapsed Time is a waste of time - starts at 1st/2nd grade level? maybe get an analog stopwatch app instead (8 pages)- Perimeter is not covered anywhere in the book as stated on the cover.Might keep for 2 sections: Circles & Spheres and Angles & Triangles (the last 18 pages - more as a teacher's guide b/c the workspace seems too small) and a few disparate worksheets. Not what I was looking for.
delivery was timely! the workbook though has more (50%) of fractions, decimals and elapsed time and the remaining 50% focus on geometry. I was expecting to have atleast 80-90% geometry given the title on the workbook.
I have ordered all the books in the 3rd and 4th grade series...math and reading/writing. After I ordered 2 books, I was so impressed that I wanted them all. It is perfect for "filling in the gaps" for my son. He can work at his own pace and continue learning throughout the summer. We are going to continue with these books throughout the school year. I would highly recommend these books to any parent who wants to help their child make major improvements in reading and math.
GOOD PRACTICE WORK BOOK. THIS WILL HLP THE 4TH GRADE CHILDREN A LOT WHO ARE NOT ATTENDING THE KUMON CLASS. THIS HAS HELPED MY SON ALOT AND HE ENJOYED IT.
Excellent book for learning, review or supplement! We use it as a daily supplement for homeschooling and are very happy with the entire series.
Excellent condition. We love the diagrams - wish they were drawn with somewhat thicker lines. Very nice section on elementary coordinate geom.
I've purchased several KUMON books, and this was my least favorite...it seemed more basic that others' I've purchased. Not very challenging!
Makes learning Geometry & measurements easy and fun to learn. This book arrived clean and in very good condition.I am well-pleased.
