I absolutely love these cards! Iam trying to teach my 21 month old son his shapes and colors. These cards are made on a durable card stock type material, with the name of the color, the shape and the color itself. The colors are nice and bright. The best part is that each color has each shape! So, for example, it is not just a red square. There will be a red square, circle, triangle, oval, diamond and rectangle! (Each color has those 6 specific shapes)This is great for teaching him his first shapes and wonderful for learning colors. The colors that are included in this pack are black, blue, brown, green, orange, purple, red, white and yellow. It does not have pink, which I feel is a pretty common color but seeing as I have a son it isn't a big deal, haha! (Although he does seem to really like pink, hehe)Overall, I'm very satisfied with the quality, bright colors and love this educational tool for my toddler! I would recommend this for baby's / toddlers 1 to maybe 4 or 5 years of age.* I also purchased the "My first words" and the "Alphabet" flash cards from this same company and they are wonderful too!

These cards are pretty sturdy but will bend with rough handling. I was disappointed that there are 54 cards but the only colors are : purple, white, black, red, green, blue, yellow, orange and brown. The shapes are: square, rectangle, circle, oval, diamond and triangle. Very limiting as far as the shapes goes. Perhaps if your child is 2yrs old these will be helpful but not if they already know some shapes and colors.

The colors are weird...not the typical reds, greens, etc. The only color that is true and basic to nature is black. The shapes, also, are very limited. I thought there would be a wider variety of shapes. I bought the cards, but I don't even use them. I wasted my money.

As the other reviews stated, the colors are not right. My son knows his colors and said the yellow was green as it had a greenish tint to it, I initially thought it looked greenish myself, then I showed him the "real" green and then he realized they were yellow and not green, I see this is adding some confusion as the colors are distracting since they are not quite right. It is such a pity as they are sturdy and are nice and glossy and the shapes are nice too. I also bought the numbers and alphabets and while the pictures look like colored pencil drawings they are okay and are way better than these.

A friend recommended these Brighter Cards. I ordered several different card sets (shapes, letters, numbers, words, etc) and have been working them with my 2 year old. He likes the cards and the colors/ pictures on them. He also enjoys putting each card back in the box after we're done with it.All in all I think these are a good learning tool. And I love the low price!!!!My only complaint is that the cards are a bit on the thin side.....and when considering that toddlers will be handeling them, they should be thicker to ensure durability and longevity.

I needed new shape flash cards, and I could not find ones I liked at the big box store. So I hopped onto and sure enough I found exactly what I was looking for. I really like that these flash cards are sturdy and easy to hold with one hand. They haven't frayed on the corners yet which I have experienced in the past with other cards. The kids love that they have the shapes and colors together, it makes their learning experience more fun.

Note: I understand they are meant for older children, however my toddler loves flash cards even ones meant for older children. The cards themselves are made fine but my toddler loses interest in this set quickly. There aren't many different shapes. He loves flash cards but these are kind of bland. He is only 18 months old so perhaps an older child would like them more (although I don't see them holding an older child's attention either) but for now he prefers other sets like the Alphabet or First Words ones.
