This book is well written, naturally! Easy to understand. Although this was purchased as a textbook for my 7th grade son, this book will remain on our shelf for years to come as a reference.The following is a list of the chapters: 1. The Warriner's texts are the very best for teaching English Grammar. The series was previously used in the school system where I was a librarian. After the series was "unadopted," grammar test scores began to drop.The series is not the most interesting or the most exciting, but it is through and provides a great deal of practice.If you are looking for a book to home tutor a teen, it would probably be best to purchase a book one or two years below the teen's actual grade level.
We purchased this book for our 9th grade daughter who is homeschooling this year. According to her, "this is my best grammar book ever!" It is very clear, does not have too many exercises and contains spelling and vocabulary sections as well.
Can't get a better, more clear exposition of the parts of the English language anywhere else. Meant for 9th grade, but can be excellent for anyone wanting to learn the building blocks of our tongue!
This grammar book was for my nine year old grandson who is an avid learner. I recently learned that the book contained profanities. I think that it is appalling that the seller does not check the merchandise before shipping it out.
Just like I remember it. Perfect for homeschooling my two middle school-age children.
