I am taking my 4 year old on an intercontinental flight. My 2 year old stays home with daddy.I bought this book to prepare both of them. They both love to read this story over and over again.Their father takes an airplane 2/3 times a month, so I think I am going to use this book also when he is traveling. The only thing I miss in this book is a map with an airplane on it. The story tells people are going on a flight but it does not explain too well that they are going to another place
Love every single one of these good night books
This series is wonderful. The art work is fantastic and the dialogue delightful.. Great quality. Couldn't be more pleased. I buy them for different children. Also can't wait to see and buy the newest offering.
They should make a series about the airport and flight experience. They just randomly start jumping around to different plane types all of a sudden. Then they show astronauts training, but it's inside so how do you explain that type of plane to a toddler?I judged the book by it's cover and that's why only part of it is good.
My daughter likes planes so I got her this book. This series is usually okay with showing gender diversity in their books, however, this one wasn't as good. All pilots in the book are male. Baggage handlers are all male. Only boys are in the airplane museum and the three skydivers appear male. They show a female flight attendant, a traffic controller (shown with 3 men), passengers/tourists, an astronaut (shown with 3 men), and kids.
Lukewarm on this one but would still recommend as there aren't enough 5-8 minute reads for 2 year olds out there for my liking and this one fits that description. There's too much redundancy in some of the trains/scenes and I'd re-order the sequence of pages to something more thematically logical. Pictures are average but aren't full of some much detail that the kids will be transfixed on looking for little things for several minutes
This book was given as a gift for my great nephew, who just turned three. Bought other books about airplanes, but according to my niece this is his favorite.
My 2-year old boy loved this book. The pictures are vivid and the story has a nice ending.
