Pete the Cat books are an all time favorite of my six year old granddaughter...have been for three years. I order them all and she and I make our snuggle/story time special as we share these books just between the two of us. Highly recommend for all children...and parents who read to children.
Great book for beginners. My son loves the Pete the Cat series and I can see why. great illustrations along with funny stories really makes the series a blast to follow. books are durable but not plastic coated paper so be careful with them. Artwork is fantastic and really gets kids into the story.
Another great book. It is your classic tortoise and the hare story. I love these books because my daughter who is 8 read them easily. She is absolutely obsessed with Pete the Cat. The illustrations are great as well. The pictures are bright and vivid. Love this book.
While I'm used to pete taking over stories like old McDonald and the wheels on the bus I was shocked to see this book and the twist it took. It is a good book and my kids enjoy it along with all the other pete books.

I love Pete the cat books and have bought all of them for my Grand children, they all want me to re read the books over and over again this one was not in the same league as all the others.. Pity
Not as great as I thought it would be. My 3 year old usually loves Pete The Cat books but didn't like this one that much.
This book is decent... It's the typical slow and steady wins the race type story. However doesn't capture the attention of my boys as much as the other Pete the Cat books.
