We have a few Pete the Cat books and we love that they rhyme. This book is a scam. The first story rhymes the 6 other stories are boring and do not rhyme. The reason that Pete the Cat is so cool is that the stories rhyme and have a great rhythm. This book does have 7 stories in it however they are not at the caliber of a regular Pete The Cat book. I feel cheated.
Can't believe the value of this book. My 2-year-old daughter LOVES Pete the Cat. I don't really understand what's so great about it, but she wants to read it every night. Her favorites are Construction Destruction (about the playground) and At the Beach.
Great book for small children to gain confidence in reading. Pete the Cat books are often used in kindergarten and first grade. My tutee and I used Pete the Cat books for him to learn t read English. Spanish is his native tongue. His first grade teacher used Pete the Cat books, and Diego told her how many he had already read. He was confident and secure in the first grade because he knew the reading material, how to tell time, count money, and do math.
Awesome collection of Pete the Cat stories. My son loved the one Pete the Cat book we had, so I sprung for this collection and am glad I did. I like having all the stories in one place rather than trying to find a particular small paperback book at bedtime. Highly recommend these stories for the 2.5-4 age group.
This is the most pathetic excuse for a Pete the Cat book ever. No cadence, no rhythm. Awful. My kids even asked me if this was "really a Pete the Cat book??" No, it's clearly not. A disgraceful misrepresentation. Please put Pete out of his misery if this is the best you can do!! It pales in comparison to what he was!! (If I could have given zero stars, or even negative stars, I would have!)
Had a couple of these in paperback already. It makes the girl feel older, looking for stories to read or hear. Worth it.
It is a hardback with 7 groovy stories. My grandchildren seem to like a story per book. Having said that, the stories are cute Pete the Cat stories.
