A.N. Kang has written a nice story for young children about Papillon, a very fluffy kitty. The illustrations add so much to the story. The artist indeed helps the child/reader to know exactly how the cat feels in each situation in the story.The cat, who is very independent, has an owner who tries to dress her up which of course does not make the kitty happy.A good friend saves the kitty from further embarrassment.*I received this for review - all opinions are my own*
Received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review (but it's out today--you can grab it!), and my daughter is grouchy with me that I snagged it from her to take a pic and reference it for this review--she loves it! As a ginormous kitty cat fan, this one is right up her Kindergarten girl alley! Cute, fun and sweet!
This is one purrrrfect picture book! From the whimsical story to the adorable illustrations, it's not hard to fall in love with Papillon. This fluffy kitty is one cat lovers, and non cat lovers will have a hard time not falling in love with. Plus, there are costumes! Now I'm not a fan of dressing animals up, but Papillon definitely looks in a hat.This is one picture book that young readers will love. Between the story and the illustrations, this book is a must have! Not only is the cover adorable, wait till you slip the jacket cover off and look at the cover. This is one picture I'd recommend picking up!
What a great, easy to read book for kids. The artwork is fantastic and the author does an amazing job by leaving you wanting more. We can't wait for the next one and look forward to reading more about Papillon's Adventures.
