I've never had a bad book from this series. They all are written with any gory/violent details of the person's life nicely worded such that the little ones don't get scared, but the books still convey what the person went through to become worthy of his/her own book. The illustrations and nice because it helps the little ones figure out what is going on even if they can't read all the words.
My daughter was doing a 1st grade project on George Washington. I got this book for her to do research. She loved it! She is now obsessed with George Washington and American history. The photos in the book are wonderful and the content is educational and entertaining. Highly recommend!
I bought this for a first grader going into second grade. It was easy reading with lots of pictures. It is paperback so easy take along in the car. An added bonus: He may learn something beyond video games.
Great book to introduce George to Kindergarten and higher. There are many facts but in large print. I did not read all the facts but I read most to my kindergarten class. They all know who our 1st president is!:)
My 4 year old gifted son loves this book.. He is already reading chapter books however he reads this book in no time and knows the book by heart.. There are a lot of facts he knows about George Washington now!!!
This book was a wonderful addition to my hero collection for my first grade class. The book was complete with great illustrations and interesting facts about George Washington's life.
We needed a second book for an 8th grade project. This wasn't it! Great writing and pictures but no substance. Found more on the web!
A good tool for early readers to learn valuable information. We always enjoy national geographic books. They are fun for all ages.
