My 8 year old is a goalie for our soccer team and she loved hearing about Hope's experience good an bad. It shows that the heros are the ones that not just go through bad times in their lives but get through them.
I loved this book because of the detail and being able to relate to what she went through.I would recommend this book to soccer players and people that like drama.

My daughters and I loved this book. It was a really interesting read. Hope Solo has had a lot of hardship in her life. It's amazing to see how far she has come. I came away with a lot of respect for Hope.
This book was the best book I have ever read! It was very inspiring for a goalie,and for people that are not goalies. I really love Hope Solo because she does not try to appear to be some one she is not. I think that this is really well written, it made me cry just because the author really shows Hopes feeling.

I swim very long distances in priest lake. I sometimes think about Hope's troubled upbringing. I worked in juvenile corrections in California for fifteen years. I have seen a lot of Hope Solos who made much worse decisions. I am thankful that she found something to help her keep her head above the very troubled waves of humanity.
