All of Peter Copeland's books are good for their ease in teaching or learning American History. The saying, "A picture is worth a thousand words", describes these books perfectly. They make great "Just thinking of you..." presents for the grandkids. George Washington Coloring Book (Dover History Coloring Book)
I knew Dover sold these kind of coloring books so I went to to see if I could find one at a reasonable price. Voila! Went to williamsburg and took this along to help my homeschooled grandchildren with some fun history work!
This book has a lot of historical detail however, 1/4 of the page is text. Not for an adult who just wants to color and know their history.Much more suitable for a tween or younger child, not for me.
I wanted the 4th of July to mean more than fireworks and hot dogs, so I got historic coloring books to help my grandchildren to learn about the history of their country. This one fit the bill!
I teach special education students and these books help me tremendously when attempting accommodations.
I love this coloring book and so do my young children!
