Originally this was to help my daughter with her theater group. It soon turned into a whole lot of family fun. The book has good ideas and tips on face painting, with kids and adults alike enjoying the playful activity. My daughter is now learning to do balloon shapes, so as to join a local group that entertains at all sorts of functions. Good clean fun, for all to enjoy.
There is something magical about face painting! Wouldn't you agree? With a little face paint you can feel yourself transformed into anything you want to be. It also doesn't hurt that you usually find face painting booths at magical places like fairs, parties, and parades. I've always wanted to give it a try and this is the perfect book to help me as a total and complete beginner.The whole front section of this book is dedicated to sharing the tips you would need to get started. It explains the different types of materials you will need and the different techniques used in successful face painting. There are over 30 face painting patterns outlined in this book and each one is rated on level of difficulty, includes a materials list, and takes you through the step by step process with photos and explanations of what technique and what brush to use. This was our first time attempting to paint faces and the instructions in this book were super easy to follow. There is also a really nice variety of ideas. Would recommend this to anyone!
