Probably one of the best impulse buys I've made in a while!I have an almost three-year-old son who is too young to watch the Star Wars movies and understand them.That's where this book comes in!There are 11 short stories with lots of colorful pictures and easy-to-read dialogue. And I was REALLY impressed that the dialogue is verbatim from the movies themselves, not watered-down paraphrases. So when my son reads these stories and finally does get to watch the movies, the two will match up perfectly without any inconsistencies in dialogue or plot.I was also pleased with the selection of stories. One each from the three prequels and then two each from the original trilogy and the Force Awakens movie that is out now!If you want a good bedtime book for your child this is the children's book you're looking for!
This book is a HUGE hit with my 7-year old. He is in love with Star Wars so I ordered this for Christmas. We’ve been reading a story from it almost every night since. The book is great because it has a wide variety of stories that span the Star Wars sagas. Some of the stories he is familiar with either from watching one of the movies or the Clone Wars/Rebels series and some of the stories were tales he wasn’t familiar with. It’s provided a lot of detail for discussions in our house. I like that the stories are entertaining but not too long for a bedtime story, especially when we sometimes end up reading more than one story.
I am very impressed with the illustration and the writing in this book. Even the physical quality of the book--the coushy hardcover and light weight pages--makes the book perfect for my little guy to to carry around with him everywhere. We all enjoy reading this book. I am so glad that i got it :)
This is awesome for my 2 youngest girls ages 4 and 3. They already know of some of the character names and the Dark Side vs. the Jedi elements, so when they see the pictures and hear the references they know who's who. The graphics are outstanding, especially for young readers. I read one of the stories to them each night before bed. Perfect length and the images spark their imagination to ask questions and listen for the explanations. Cool stuff. Great book.
My 4 year old is obsessed with Star Wars and loves listening to stories. Perfect Christmas gift! He begs his dad to read it to him every night. Very well written, and keeps the interest going throughout the story. The artwork is nicely done, and there are plenty of pictures. I even catch my 7 year old son listening to the stories every night, though he pretends not to. You won't regret buying this book if you have a Star Wars lover in your house.
One of the best kid books I have seen in a long time.The cover is heavy and the paper is heavy, too. The art inside is awesome and this is definitely a book that you will remember a long time.My 5 year old and me reading every night one of the stories. They are good and short - 5min and he loves the pictures.Awesome
This Book is awesome! I bought this and I have been reading it to my son and daughters and they can't get enough! The artwork is perfect and the pages are short enough for a child's short attention span! It covers stories from all 7 films! Yes That includes The Force Awakens! LOVE this book!
My 8-year-old loves these stories and is happy to read them to us or himself. We are big Star Wars fans, so it's a great way to get your child excited about a book (mine does not tend to be excited about reading). There are a few words in there he couldn't read (toward the end of 2nd grade) but the book was so interesting to him, he did not get frustrated as he has with other books + the stories are not too long for a 2nd grader.
