Llama Llama books are simple little books that teach sweet lessons to young children. I bought ...I Love You for two young sisters to share for Valentine's Day and was so pleased when it arrived. It's a board book made of high quality materials, the pictures are bright and cute and the book teaches the power of sharing love and making your own gifts. Just hope the 1 and 3-year olds enjoy it as much as this 70-year old did!!
Cute book. We buy all the "Llama Llama" books. This one is a little sparse, and stretches a bit for some of the rhymes, but it's fine. Perhaps a bit overpriced for the lack of reading content.
I am a little disappointed with how short this story was. Especially for the price. The llama llama red pajama book was so much better.
I bought this book for a Valentine's Day themed playdate we hosted at our house. We read a lot so I've read some great children's books and some horrible children's books. This one falls solidly in the middle. The rhymes are a little awkward. The story is really short but it is cute. It definitely met the whole Valentine's Day theme I had. However, this is not a book that we continuously reach for. It's definitely meant for very young kids, I'd say maybe 18 months-2 years old at the most. The pictures are cute and I like the way it looks like it's "colored" in.
First off I wanna start by saying me & my 2 year old really love this book series. I ordered this book for her, to add to her collection. My daughter loves books she has over 50 and chooses 3 to read every day. They are usually from the Llama series. We recommend this book to all Llama Llama fans and to those who don't know the series.
We are big fans of Llama Llama in our house. I like that the books are short and simple and that the text rhymes. I have been reading llama lama books to my kids since they were in my belly. I purchase the board books because they are durable, small in size and are perfect for little hands.In Llama Llama I love you. Little Llama leans all about Valentine's Day and make heart shaped cards and gives lots of hugs to show how much he loves his family and friends.Anna Dewdney is a great Author and artist who is able to explain things to kids in a way that they will understand, but not get board with the length of the book.
Kind of disappointed in this book. My son Loves Llama Llama red pajama so we were really looking forward to this book. But it is too short and the rhymes are not that cute or funny, it's almost like they threw in any valentine words that sort of rhymed. I prefer simple words for kids at this age not having to explain cupids and such. It was as if the book was made in a rush and no love was put into it, funny for a valentine book.
I adore all the Llama Llama books. This one we bought for our 18 month old son, and it has quickly become one of his favorite books. The stories are quick and to the point, which is perfect for this age range, and tell a sweet story as well. The price point is also nice. The book is well made. My son can suck and chew on the book, and it holds up the the beating. We will be buying many more Llama Llama books in the future:-)
