I'm always leery about buying books online, I never know if it's going to have sex scenes or profanity. This entire series is clean, yet full of unexpected twists and turns. Gripping. Funny. Richard Paul Evans writing style is smooth and effortless. I would feel very comfortable giving this to any of my teenage cousins to read.
This is a good read for young people, although I enjoyed it myself, and I have bought two sets for two of my grandsons who like to read. Lots of action and good characters with special powers -as always, good fighting evil.
When I read this book, I thought it would have more action in the book, but it was still really good. The reason I read it was because my friends said it was a great book and they told me to read it. So for Christmas I asked for the first Michael Vey book. The book is about Michael and his friend Ostin at school and Michael went to to the Principal office because he was new to the school. He got bullied by this kid named Jack he was a big jerk. After school Jack and his crew bullied Michael. When The girl named Taylor saw Michael getting bullied she saw Michael sock Jack. She was surprised by what he done. She has powers that can reboot people! Then they find out that their are more of their kind out their so they are trying to find out who. I loved this book so much because of all the crazy things that happen it the book. So you should go and read this book i bet you will love it to. Written by Mason, 7th grade
This is a wonderful series! I love Richard Paul Evans, he's been one of my favorite authors for many years and this series is one of his best. I purchased this for my grandson that has a hard time talking to people outside his comfort zone. This set of books and the adventures contained gave him something to talk to others about, something in common with kids his age, he has loved every book. As I have mentioned in other reviews, I don't like spoilers, so you'll have to read the series yourself if you want to know what's inside, but I promise it's worth delving into. What a wonderful creative mind Evans has! I recommend this series very highly, whether you're 12 or 49, you'll find enjoyment in every page.
Bought these books for my 12 year old. He loved them!!! Read all 3 and even took AR tests on them for school, so he enjoyed the books and got credit for school. Win Win!!! He's asking for more books by Michael Vey.
My son tells me he likes this book and loves the series. Cannot get into specifics but as an 8th grader he reads a book every 8 -10 days. is making a mint from me. If he did not like it, he would tell me.
This is the BEST book Series for the pre teen age to read. The books are packed with lots of action and make the kids want to keep reading them and not put them down. My daughter read the first 2 books in the set in 4 days and that's awesome for someone who has struggled with reading in the past. She read the others in about a week. Since then she has read them over and over again. We highly recommend this series.
This is a great series for young teens. Very imaginative and exciting. There are some mistakes the characters make that move the plot along, which are obvious to adults but not so much for kids, e.g. like you should lay low when you're on the run and don't go to the local bagel shop. So, an adult might find that odd but kids won't. Really fun books that are entertaining and action-filled even for adults.
