My three-year-old twins love Paw Patrol and, since they love for me to read to them, I decided to find some Paw Patrol books that we didn't have for their birthday. Usually I try to buy board books since they are more durable but my kids are starting to get into the age where they aren't nearly as rough on books as they used to be so I was delighted to find some Paw Patrol Little Golden Books. Seeing these books reminded me of when I was younger so I was excited to buy some more of these books for our book collection! They are just like I remember with the thick, cardboard covers, bright and colorful paperback pages, and the gold binding. They are the typical Little Golden Book size too, at around 6 1/2 inches by 8 inches so if you have other Little Golden Books, this will fit in nicely with those too.Pirate Pups! is based on the episode "Pups and the Pirate Treasure" (taken from the book's title page) and it tells the story of how Cap'n Turbot is exploring and falls down into an old pirate hideout. Of course he needs the Paw Patrol to come rescue him so Ryder and the pups head out to help him. The story continues with a treasure hunt for all of the pups and a nice surprise at the end!My twins love this story and I'm glad we purchased it as part of their birthday present. It is the perfect length, not too short and not too long, so it's great for short attention spans but it has enough of a story that it's not over too quickly. I think we will enjoy this book for a long time because I can read it to my kids now and as they get older, they will be able to practice reading it themselves! Please note that this book does not contain Everest at all so if your Paw Patrol fan likes her the best, this book may be slightly disappointing to them. Overall, my twins and I are happy so we would highly recommend this book to any Paw Patrol fan!
Paw Patrol is a big hit with the 4-5 year old set. I read this at my grandson's preschool and the kids enjoyed it. Not very expensive if you have Prime free shipping but okay for the price. Don't expect anything special.
Our four year old granddaughter was excited to get it and loved having it read to her in spite of the fact that she's seen the video several times. She asked me to read it to her every day that she was here visiting and was thrilled that she could take it home with her.
I have two grandsons a four and a five-years-old that love anything Paw Patrol and these are really well put together books. I was a grandma and promoting reading for my grandsons. And what a fun surprise to get something in the mail. I love being that grandma.
The story is OK - and my grand-daughter loves Paw Patrol and books so this was a perfect gift for her. Little Golden Books are still a good quality with nice colors and good binding.
This is a cute book for any Rubble or Paw Patrol lover. I always liked the Little Golden Books when I was a kid. Still have some. They hold up really well to frequent reading.

A lot smaller than I thought it was going to be, but I also didn't look at the measurements in the picture. Still a very cute book, my daughter loved it!
