My four year old loves to read this book to me. The words are printed large so that they are easy to focus on and follow with your finger. The illustrations are bright and colorful. All of my kids favorite Cars characters were included. Well worth the price.
What a fun little book and quite a "twist" at the end - lol. My 2 year old nephew loves it and so do I.
The story is horrible-Mater hides & tricks his friends who went out of their way to throw him a surprise party.
I am disappointed by this book. It does not rhyme. It's good for beginner readers I guess but I bought it for my almost 3 year old who loves mator and cars and it's a little dull reading it to him.
My 3 year old daughter loves this book! We borrowed it from our library, but she did not want to return it! I had to buy her a copy for herself, since she enjoys reading and she LOVES the CARS movies. Before the book came in the mail, I convinced her to let the borrowed one go by explaining how other children would not be able to enjoy the pleasure of reading the book if she kept it. The next day, hers showed up in the mail! Awesome
Of course, they like anything CARS, but the fun thing about this book is how Mater hides through the whole thing. They love to find him. It's a really fun birthday story!
I really like this book as there aren't too many words on each page, so the kids can learn the story and "read" it to themselves as they work on sight reading.
We gave this to our 5 year old Grandson for his birthday. He loved the story and it had just enough words to challenge his beginner reading skills.
