My triplet boys have 4 or 5 Tony Mitton books and love each one of them. They many books and this one seems to be a new favorite. They enjoy the rhyming and cadence of the words and ask questions about the pictures as we go through it. They like pointing out the car parts on the car at the end of the book.
What can you say when a child loves cars. He will listen and learn all about cars. Big.small. Sports one etc. I had to read this book to my grandson for two months every night before bed till he learned the words by hard. And he is only going on three years old
We love these books! Bought several at once, and went back to buy the whole series! They are all so fun, and my son (3.5) lovesthe fun facts and story line. At the end they go over the "parts" of whichever machine the book is about and he loves to talk about whathe remembers from the story. Love it, love it!!!!! Plus, the 3/4 creatures(characters) are precious.
Excellent illustrations and a informative text that details how cars operate plus how they impact our lives, gives this picture book the substance one would like to see in all picture books. The wordplay (rhymed text), car parts section, and cute animal characters will engage the reader and make this a "favorite" at story time. We have several of the books in this Amazing Machines series and my son loves them all. We read them over and over. The rhyming words are great for phonemic awareness, and the pictures are bright and attractive. They also help to build vocabulary in a fun way.
My grandson now has all of the books in this series and has had his mommy read them so many times that he has them memorized. Although he is only three, he sits and "reads" the books word for word. Amazing Machines is an amazing series with bright colors and lots of kid friendly information.The rhyming phrases are easy for little ones to say and understand.
My 3 y/o boy loves these books, and the cool cars is no exception! The rhyming is melodic and he never gets tired of the stories. We even love the last page where they explain the parts of the car! Great bedtime story for any little boy.
We have most of the books in this set of vehicle books, and we have read them over and over. Our grandsons especially enjoy figuring out the rhyme at the end of each couplet. Lots of good information too.
