My construction loving boy loves this book, and I love that it is an ABC book. The text is short so even though it goes through all 26 letters, it still keeps my energetic two-year-old's attention. You could also just go through and find the letter on each page, or talk about the pictures. It is a great kids book.
Very cute book. It however isn't an abc book in the normal form, it uses the abc's in words in the story. So I wouldn't buy it if you want A is for Asphalt. However, my son loves trucks and diggers so this made a good book for our collection.
Very nicely done ABC book with great illustrations. I especially like that the characters are multi-racial/multi-cultural. And there are even what look to be at least two or three female construction workers. I initially choose it in part because of the title. My father was a construction worker and drove a bulldozer for many years. He passed away some years ago, so he never got to meet some of his great-grandchildren. This is a gift to one of them in remembrance of him. But when I received the book and got to read through the entire book, I was more than just happy with it. I'm not a big fan of amusement parks, but I am a big fan of the author and the illustrator and the thoughtfulness that obviously went into every page of their book.

My 2 and a half year old son LOVES this book! Since starting to read it be now knows each of the letters in the alphabet and what word they go with. Highly recommended for kids who like construction things!
My not-quite 2 year old son loves this book! We read it multiple times a day most days. The pictures are great and keep his interest. The story is cute. I like that the alphabet is incorporated into the story (instead of just A is for apple, etc). A must-have!
My first son loved this book, and now my 2nd son loves it too! As a parent it is very tolerable to read aloud the 700 times your child wants to hear it! The flow is fun the images are great and overall it is a fantastic children's book!
Our little guy has loved this book for several months. Gets read almost everyday. Excellent illustrations and lots of details in the trucks. Great build up through the ABC's to the end and a very fun "Z"ooooooom!
