I love the Berenstain Bears and have since my childhood. This story is just not up to the quality that I expect from them, though. Normally the stories are so insightful and the illustrations, particularly of facial expressions, are very amusing. But this one just isn't as good. I'm afraid that newer isn't necessarily better with the Bear Family.
The book itself is well put together and well written, but it seems that there was more filler and less actual content (words) in this book than some of the other BB books.Never the less, my son loves these as I did as a kid and this is a good addition to the collection.Good illustrations and about a 5 minute read.
Usual good quality Berenstain Bear book. Would be interesting for children who like dinosaurs, and my 5 year old twins were excited to figure out which ones they were, just by their bones.
Fun and colorful book that my dinosaur lover toddler enjoys! The story is cute, engaging, and educational. My son likes matching which fossils/skeletons belong to which dinosaurs in this story. Filled with dinosaur names and facts, it's a very enjoyable book that holds his attention.
I loved reading the Berenstain Bears books when I was a child and now my 5 year old loves them too! I thought he might like this one because of the dinosaurs which he did. But after he seen other titles on the back he wants me to get them all for him!Great books for kids!
If you have a young dinosaur fan in the house, they'll probably enjoy this book. It doesn't give a whole lot of facts about each dinosaur, but it does break down how to pronounce the names. As others have noted, the son (Mike Berenstain) is now writing with Jan so the text isn't quite as lovely as the older books, but still a neat book.
Very appropriate for little kids. My five year old son loves this book as he loves anything Dinosaur-related. The book is thin and small, but that is just perfect for small kids. Even in today's world of digital, there is something special about reading a physical book.
Who doesn't love dinos and Berenstain bears.? My son loves them both and when he opened this for his birthday he was supper excited. I think we almost know the whole book by heart lol. We read it every single night, and I love that it has dino names and pis to help him learn more about them.
