We got this for our 14 month old daughter who is obsessed with owls. She loves the pictures and even I learned a few things about owls that I did not know. While this is obviously geared towards older children, younger children will enjoy the colorful pictures. It's a pretty durable little magazine and the pictures are beautiful.
there are a bunch of these pertaining to different animals available for kindle. out of all of them this was my favorite. it had many facts for adults as well as for little ones to appreciate these really cool creatures.
This book was a great addition to my Owl unit I teach. I love the pictures! It is a great nonfiction resource!
So, confession time. We bought this elsewhere. It was kind of an impulse buy, but one we don't regret. This book is full of gorgeous pictures, fascinating information, and a few bad jokes. (Really bad ones.) And it's just perfect for the resident seven-year-old. She can read it on her own and has been pestering everyone in the family with owl facts. While it does talk about what owls eat, this one is particularly suited to your young, sensitive child. It doesn't get too deep into death or endangerment. It's positive, fun, perfect for any animal loving child. We've purchased many of these National Geographic Readers and will continue to do so.Top Quality!
Very cute book! I always purchase books for birthdays instead of cards. I bought this for a 7 year old's birthday who loves owls. I was a little worried that the reading level may be too low because it is listed as a "Level 1", but it worked perfectly! Great purchase!
anything education is good....and National Geographic puts out great stuff!
Great little book!
Shared with my class after we made owl cupcakes. Great info and even better pictures! My students loved it:)
