I almost threw it away because I thought it was an advertising postcard. It's about the size of a postcard. I really need to pay closer attention to measurements. That said, I'm disappointed with this. By its description it appears that this is an activity book. There are 4 pages of stickers. The front and back covers are the stage to put the stickers on. So you need to remove the pages of stickers which are stapled in the center of the booklet. The stage pages are thicker and seems laminated. I'm afraid to remove a sticker and try to place it on the stage and then remove it. What if it's not removable and can't be repositioned? With the laminated stage, I'm hoping this will work similar to Colorforms.I also saw on the back cover that this is priced at $1.50. It's listed on $1.99 with free shipping. I think it's fairly priced. I'm disappointed with the size and possibly the ability to not be able to reposition the stickers while playing. I'm still going to give this to my niece for Christmas. I just hope it's actually something she can play with. I think she'll still enjoy putting the stickers onto the "stage" I just hope this works like Coloforms.
This is the third Dover sticker activity book I own and it's prettier than the aquarium and Alice In Wonderland ones. Nicely-drawn pics in eye-catching colors. Better quality than some stickers I see in fancy stationary stores. You'll definitely be pleased with this little gem.
The Dover Little Activity Books are always a hit with my kids. Santa put the Nutcracker Activity Book in my 8 year old's stocking this Christmas. It is small and the perfect size for the car or to be pulled out during "sit and wait" times. It is sturdy, and the stickers are beautifully illustrated. Great fun for the small price!
Very disappointed. We saw the ballet before the children were given the books. The activity did not capture their interest even though they loved the ballet.
Our granddaughter really enjoyed this book esp. after seeing the Nutcracker for the first time.I highly recommend it to parent's or grandparents.
Lasted about as long as the 15 minute intermission of the Nutcracker did with a 9 year old girl. That was the intention, so I feel like I got my moneys worth. So, if about 15 minutes of entertainment for under $2 is what you're going for... you'll love it!
Smaller than my hand. One scene that looks like a stage and a few stickers of characters.
It's very small. Bought it for Christmas, knowing it was small, but my son got into it before I was present and could explain what it was for. Instead, he pasted the stickers on lots of other things not just inside the book, so many of the stickers were destroyed within the first few minutes. Not too many stickers, I guess, is what I'm not quite as satisfied about.
